Kersten have been involved with hydraulic drives for many years and have incorporated our vast experience gained in the latest range of machines.
Hydraulic transmission offers great advantages over mechanical systems (clutch and gearbox) due to its trouble-free design making it the most suitable system for professional and prolonged use.
For this reason a new hydraulic steering system was developed for our machines. The new steering system, called Hydro-Pro, is powered steering that allows the operator to easily negotiate steep inclines. With this system each drive wheel has its own motor. This feature may be found on all Kersten two wheel tractors such as the RoughCutter and the UBS range. Operating the machine has been made as simple as possible with few levers.
For example our Hydro-Pro system is operated by one double lever which allows you to operate the machine safely in the most difficult conditions.
When we developed the new machines the levers were placed to provide the simplest operation. Emphasis have been placed on health and safety with special attention to noise and vibration levels. The RoughCutters feature ISO-mounted handlebasr providing vibration levels below 2,5 m/s2. No electronic components are used in this system.
