The Kersten WKBH40 hydraulic WeedBrush shown here, is fitted to the Kersten K 1500Pro power unit, and is removing moss and debris from block paving in a garden centre planting area. All without the use of chemicals. This area is watered constantly and organic material is often dropped on the surface providing ideal growing conditions for moss and algae.
The WKBH40 attachment consists of eight, easily replaceable steel 'Versa' brushes that would normally last up to an average of 30 to 40 hours, depending on application.
he WKBH40 attachment is fully and finely adjustable for height and angle to facilitate a wide variety of tasks and surfaces. The deep jointed sets of block paving will require more penetration than a tarmac surface. The WKBH40 may be attached and removed in seconds by a typical operator.
The Kersten K1500Pro power unit is ideally suited to drive this attrachment with its infinitely variable speed drive system. The 6.5hp engine provides a lightweight manoeuvrable solution.
The WKBH40 does not collect debris but the K1500Pro may be fitted with the F900 sweeper and collector to finish the job. The sweeper may also be used for maintaining the surface to prevent the growth of moss.
For larger or heavier duty applications the K2000 may be used to drive the WKBH40 WeedBrush. Seen is the K1200Pro with the same WKBH40 WeedBrush being used to renovate a negected path and edge. The WKBH40 brushes back edges and removes growth in most hard surfaces. Most importantly the steel brush loosens and removes the soil, moss and other mediums retaining moisture that allow germination and development of unwanted growth.
